Winter Exhibitions at Tenuta dello Scompiglio

Tenuta dello Scompiglio, directed by Cecilia Bertoni, presents a series of exhibitions and site-specific interventions for winter 2024-2025 at its Vorno estate near Lucca. Chiara Ventura's solo show 'Le maniglie dell’amore', curated by Angel Moya Garcia, features 110 door handles representing femicide victims in Italy over the past year, accompanied by graphic texts detailing their names and stories. Three winning projects from the 2023 'Il giardino segreto' residency call are on view: Andrea Nacciarriti's permanent work 'Waiting for a landslide' replaces rocks with bronze casts in a landslide-prone area, destined to evolve over time. In the woods, Antonio Della Guardia and Valentina Furian present 'D’un tratto nel folto del bosco', curated by Vasco Forconi. Furian's 'Il tempo dei lupi' is a subtle sound piece inspired by the return of wolves to Vorno hills. Della Guardia's 'Voce di tuono' uses a cast of a pine tree struck by lightning, creating a sonic sculpture. Gianluca Trusso Forgia's 'Officine Oniriche' concludes the program, featuring a video documenting a residency focused on dreams and neuroscience. All exhibitions run from October 12, 2024 to April 13, 2025, except Trusso Forgia's which ends November 17, 2024.
