Winter 2019 Exhibition Previews Across Asia Feature Major Collaborations and Regional Focus
This winter of 2019, a variety of exhibitions are debuting throughout Asia. The Yuz Museum in Shanghai showcases 'In Production: Art and the Studio System' until March 1, highlighting artists from Southern California, including Mathias Poledna. Eddie Martinez's latest pieces will be displayed at Yuz Project Space until January 12. At the Centre Pompidou × West Bund Museum Project, 'The Shape of Things' is available until May 2021. Qianshao Contemporary Art Center features 'Advent' until March 31 with 32 participating artists. Other notable exhibitions include Li Qing's 'Rear Windows' at Prada Rong Zhai until January 19, and Yu Honglei's sculptures at Antenna Space until January 2. Additionally, Gao Yuan's animation is on view at Capsule Shanghai until December 25, while Fang Di's 'The Golden Bowl' can be seen at Vanguard Gallery until January 6. The Biennale Jogja XV is ongoing until November 30, and Gajah Gallery's 'Shaping Geographies' will be available until December 31. Lastly, Sarah Lucas's retrospective at Red Brick Art Museum runs until February 16, and Anish Kapoor's works are exhibited at CAFA Art Museum until January 1 and the Imperial Ancestral Temple until December 28.
