Wim Wenders' 'Perfect Days' arrives in Italian cinemas
Wim Wenders' new film 'Perfect Days' opens in Italian cinemas on January 4, distributed by Lucky Red. The German director set the film in Japan, a country he had not filmed in since 1990, and cites Yasujiro Ozu as an inspiration. The story follows Hirayama, a toilet cleaner in Tokyo, whose simple routine is disrupted by unexpected encounters revealing his past. Kôji Yakusho stars as Hirayama, winning the Best Actor award at the 2023 Cannes Film Festival. Wenders praised Yakusho's commitment and the silent body language they developed on set. The film is part of the Cinema Revolution campaign.
