Wildcoast Residence by Studio Kennon Negotiates Coastal Forces

Studio Kennon has designed Wildcoast Residence, a 692-square-meter house on the Mornington Peninsula's southern edge, where the land meets Bass Strait. The project, led by architects Pete Kennon and Zoe Fayman, is curated by Miwa Negoro with landscape architecture by Nathan Burkett. Completed in 2026, the house does not resist the intense coastal conditions—unbroken wind from the Southern Ocean, rain, and salt-laden air—but instead settles quietly into them, becoming part of the landscape's character.
