WILD SOULS: Simone Benedetto and Claudia Giraudo in Dialogue at PUNTO SULL’ARTE

From May 16 to June 13, 2026, PUNTO SULL’ARTE in Varese presents WILD SOULS, a two-person exhibition featuring Simone Benedetto and Claudia Giraudo, curated by Alessandra Redaelli. The opening is scheduled for Saturday, May 16, from 11:00 to 13:00 at the gallery's main location, Viale Sant’Antonio 59/61, with the artists and curator present. The exhibition explores the symbolic relationship between humans and animals, a theme central to cultural history. Giraudo, a long-time artist of the gallery, lives in a wooded village in Asti, and her paintings depict concentrated child figures accompanied by silent animal protectors, reflecting a slow meditation on the soul and its Daimon. Benedetto, born in Turin in 1985 and a graduate of Accademia Albertina di Belle Arti, creates sculptures that capture the spontaneous energy of childhood, often transforming children into imaginary animals like deer and elephants. His works, made from materials such as concrete, resin, silicone, and bronze, have been exhibited at Domus Lascaris and Palazzo Saluzzo in Turin. The exhibition also highlights the gallery's permanent collection on the first floor, featuring artists like Annalù, Angelo Accardi, Eric Roux-Fontaine, and Jernej Forbici, while the second space, PUNTO SULL’ARTE II in Varese's historic center, showcases works by Roberto Bernardi, Lene Kilde, and others.
