Wild's Collection: Naturalist Specimens in Aranya Guangzhou

architecture-design · 2026-08-09

Offhand Practice has wrapped up a 155-square-meter natural history center called Wild's Collection, located in Aranya Guangzhou Jiulong Lake, the first semi-open park commercial complex by Aranya in Guangzhou, China. Curated by HAN Shuang, this initiative transforms a ground-level space into a 'museum' showcasing wildlife specimens. Its design harmonizes with the bold, modern aesthetics of the exposed concrete architecture, creating a striking yet cohesive environment. Captured by Wen Studio, the interior interweaves the naturalist collection with the architectural elements, forming a unique 'fold of time' in the contemporary layout. Finished in 2025, the project involved architects Yuan Yuan, Nie Xuan, and others, with lighting by Shanghai Tangsi Lighting Design Co., Ltd. and construction by Shanghai Construction Decoration (Group) Co., Ltd.
