Wild Echoes Exhibition Opens Desert Design Week Spring 2026 in Scottsdale

On April 17, over 300 attendees convened in Scottsdale, AZ, for "Wild Echoes," a significant exhibition within Desert Design Week's Spring 2026 edition. This initiative, established by Ruth Price, showcases diverse creative expressions from the American Southwest. Curated by Blayne Pearce Planit and produced by Benjamin Latham and Stephanie Ketty, the event took place at the newly inaugurated Kimpton Miralina hotel. The installation benefited from spatial design by Kaitlyn Wolfe and photography by BFA. Featured artists included Alex Maceda, August West, Caroline Ridings, and others, presenting works that delve into the complex narratives of the American West beyond conventional imagery. Pearce Planit noted that the title reflects Latham's desert themes merging with urban landscapes. The choice of venue aligns with Desert Design Week's preference for immersive hospitality settings over traditional galleries, emphasizing the desert's role as both subject and dynamic element through earthy tones and organic materials that suggest erosion and the passage of time.
