Wien Museum's Take Over merges street art and skateboarding before renovation
Before its renovation, the Wien Museum at Karlsplatz launched an exhibition called 'Take Over', which centers on street art and skateboarding. Curated by Karina Karadensky and Christine Koblitz, the museum's empty galleries have been transformed into a unique space. The ground floor features a Skate-Area with upcycled furniture for skateboarding and a DIY graffiti zone open to everyone. Meanwhile, the first floor hosts a Hall of Fame that showcases around thirty talented underground artists, including names like Busk, Ruin, and Knarf. Visitors can enjoy skate lessons and street art workshops until September 1, 2019, as the museum embraces these once controversial but now appreciated forms of culture.
