WideluxX F10 Panoramic Camera Prototypes Tested by Photographers Ahead of Production
Photographers are currently testing fully functional prototypes of the WideluxX F10 panoramic film camera, marking a significant step toward its market release. SilverBridges, the company behind this revival, has initiated the first production run. The project was launched in September 2024 by Oscar-winning actor Jeff Bridges and his wife, photographer Susan Bridges, who partnered with SilvergrainClassics editor-in-chief Marwan El Mozayen and Charys Schuler. Their goal is to resurrect the beloved Widelux camera, whose original factory was destroyed by fire over two decades ago, halting production and repairs. By October of last year, SilverBridges had advanced to the prototyping phase, showcasing a modernized version of the classic camera. Jeff Bridges described the initiative as bridging analog photography's history with its future, emphasizing craftsmanship and providing tools for new generations. Early last month, the Bridges unboxed a prototype with visible excitement. Recent images from field tests demonstrate the camera's distinctive creative potential, surpassing earlier evaluations. SilverBridges promises further purchase details will be announced shortly.
