Whitney Museum nomina Jane Panetta e Rujeko Hockley come curatrici della Biennale 2019
Il 14 dicembre 2017, il Whitney Museum of American Art ha annunciato che Jane Panetta e Rujeko Hockley co-cureranno la Whitney Biennial del 2019. Entrambe fanno attualmente parte dello staff del museo. Panetta, curatrice associata, ha precedentemente organizzato mostre personali per Willa Nasatir nel 2017 e per Njideka Akunyili Crosby dal 2015 al 2016. Ha inoltre collaborato con Christopher Y. Lew alla mostra del 2016 Mirror Cells e all'esposizione del 2017 Fast Forward: Painting from the 1980s. La sua prossima mostra, Juan Antonio Olivares: Moléculas, è prevista per marzo 2018. Hockley, entrata al Whitney nel 2017, ha precedentemente lavorato come assistente curatrice al Brooklyn Museum, contribuendo alla mostra del 2014 Crossing Brooklyn: Art from Bushwick, Bed-Stuy, and Beyond.
