In May 2026, New York Art Week is set to make a vibrant comeback, featuring an array of fairs, gallery events, and museum openings. Frieze New York will take place from May 14–17 at The Shed, showcasing 65 galleries hailing from 26 nations, including notable names like Gagosian and Hauser & Wirth. The Focus section, curated by Lumi Tan, highlights galleries that are twelve years old or younger. NADA New York will be hosted at the Starrett-Lehigh Building during the same dates, featuring over 110 galleries. Independent will move to Pier 36 from May 15–17, while TEFAF New York runs from May 15–19 at the Park Avenue Armory with 88 dealers. Museum exhibitions include "Raphael: Sublime Poetry" at the Met, a survey of Marcel Duchamp at MoMA, "Iris van Herpen" at the Brooklyn Museum, and "Joan Semmel" at the Jewish Museum.
