White Hills and Schonwald Discuss Art, Music, and Creative Identity

In an interview series, US psychedelic rock band White Hills and Italian duo Schonwald share their definitions of art and music, their artistic self-identification, and favorite visual artworks. White Hills, formed in New York in 2003 by Dave W. and Ego Sensation, have collaborated with filmmaker Jim Jarmusch, appearing in his film Only Lovers Left Alive and performing at All Tomorrow's Parties New York. Their new album features Jarmusch and Simone Marie Butler of Primal Scream. Schonwald, founded in Ravenna in 2007 by Alessandra Gismondi and Luca Bandini, have released a parallel project Shad Shadows and have a new album due in November.
