West Texas Summer Exhibitions: From Portraiture to Lowriders
This summer, various museums and galleries across West Texas and the Panhandle have unveiled new exhibitions. The El Paso Museum of Art showcases 'From the Collection: Portraiture, 1903-2021' until July 19. Meanwhile, the Rubin Center is hosting the UTEP Student Art Exhibition from May 15 through July 25. The Grace Museum's 'Memory Painters: The Art of Memories' began on April 25 and will be available until September 19. From May 1 to October 11, Ballroom Marfa features Raven Halfmoon's 'Flags of Our Mothers.' The Louise Hopkins Underwood Center for the Arts has three exhibitions running until June 27 and another from June 5 to August 1. The Ellen Noël Art Museum will kick off several exhibitions on June 5, while the Museum of the Southwest will present Ken Womack's 'GIANT' from June 11 to September 13. The Old Jail Art Center will launch two exhibitions on June 13, and the San Angelo Museum is set to open two exhibitions on July 9 and July 30.
