festival-fair · 2026-04-19

On November 13, 2025, the 12th iteration of West Bund Art & Design commenced at the newly established West Bund International Convention and Exhibition Center in Shanghai, taking the place of the previous West Bund Art Center. Approximately 200 galleries presented artworks from over 1,000 artists hailing from 65 nations. The former venue had been home to the Xianchang sector, which featured large-scale installations. Highlights included Isamu Noguchi's Zazen at White Cube and a sculpture by Chen Xiaoyi at ShanghART. Hong Kong galleries showcased Lov-Lov's video and Kimsooja's textile piece. The event ran concurrently with the 15th Shanghai Biennale and ART021, though Gagosian and Pace were notably absent. Wendy Xu from White Cube commended the venue's central layout for improving the fair experience in a tough market.
