Wellcome Photography Prize 2025 Winners Announced, Exhibition Opens at Francis Crick Institute
The Wellcome Photography Prize 2025 has announced its top 25 shortlist along with three winners. An exhibition will be held at the Francis Crick Institute in London from July 17 to October 18. This year marks the 28th edition of the prize, which received entries from more than 100 countries. The shortlist features talent from 18 nations, including Bangladesh, Brazil, Uganda, and the UK. The winners are Mithail Afrige Chowdhury, Steve Gschmeissner, and Sujata Setia, who is also in the running for the Aesthetica Art Prize 2025. The judging panel, led by Melanie Keen, includes notable members like Esmita Charani and Helen Fisher, with shortlisted works addressing issues like climate change and mental health.
