Weekend Agenda: Yoga at Huang Yong Ping Installation, Feminist Art Show in Vitoria

A Spanish cultural agenda for mid-August highlights diverse activities despite the perceived lull of the holiday season. The Fundación Montenmedio Contemporánea, an art center in the dehesa of Montenmedio, Vejer de la Frontera, Cádiz, will host yoga classes inside 'El Baño', an installation by the late Chinese artist Huang Yong Ping (died 2019). Led by Elsa of Olas de Luz, the sessions are scheduled for Saturdays August 15, 22, and 29. In Vitoria-Gasteiz, the exhibition 'Juana Cima: Una mirada disidente' runs until August 30, showcasing the work of a pioneer of feminist iconography and visibility. The agenda also includes popular festivals, open-air cinemas, zarzuela, and a jazz festival across cities such as Cádiz, Vitoria, Salamanca, Madrid, and León.
