Warhol, Rosenkranz, and Paci at GAMeC Bergamo

GAMeC Bergamo presents three concurrent exhibitions. 'Warhol e dopo Warhol,' curated by Giacinto Di Pietrantonio, features over 100 works including serigraphs of Marilyn Monroe and Mao Tse-Tung, Campbell's Soup cans, Mick Jagger's autographed guitar, Interview magazines, and The Velvet Underground & Nico album cover. The gallery is wrapped in silver paper. Damien Hirst designed the deckchairs. Pamela Rosenkranz's 'Alien culture' in Spazio Zero includes seven site-specific 'Alien Blue Windows' replicating the corridor's arched windows, emitting artificial RGB blue light. Her 'Creation, Deterioration, Conservation' series overlays reproductions of Gentile Bellini's paintings with flesh-colored acrylic. The Artists' Film International network, supported by Whitechapel Gallery and GAMeC since its first edition, screens Adrian Paci's 'The Column' (2013), depicting a marble block's journey from a quarry near Beijing to a Corinthian column en route to Europe.
