Wanted Zone Launches Art Documentary Series with Aalto Film

From December 3 to 9, 2020, the virtual platform Wanted Zone presents its first thematic film series dedicated to art, streaming five documentaries on major contemporary artists, photographers, and architects. The series opens with 'Aalto' directed by Virpi Suutari, exploring the life and work of Alvar Aalto and his first wife Aino through archival footage and personal letters. Other films include 'Escher – Journey into Infinity', 'Banksy Does New York' by Chris Moukarbel, 'Robert Doisneau – The Lens of Wonders' by Clementine Deroudille, and 'Emilio Vedova – From the Side of the Shipwreck' directed by Tommaso Pessina with voice by Toni Servillo. The documentary on Alvar Aalto highlights his partnership with Aino, co-founder of Artek, and features key architectural works like Paimio Sanatorium, Viipuri Library, Villa Mairea, Finlandia Hall, and the Louis Carré house. Aalto, a master of the Modern Movement, is remembered for his integration of light, nature, and human social interaction. Wanted Zone plans weekly thematic series throughout December, covering art, music, exceptional women, and psychoanalysis. Subscriptions cost €9.90 per week for all screenings, with individual tickets at €3.99 (catalog titles) and €4.99 (premieres).
