exhibition · 2026-04-19

The Walker Art Center in Minneapolis unveiled the exhibition 'Multiple Realities: Experimental Art in the Eastern Bloc 1960s-1980s' on November 11, 2023. This showcase will be on display until March 10, 2024, before moving to Phoenix Art Museum from April 17 to September 15, 2024, and then to Vancouver Art Gallery from December 14, 2024, to April 21, 2025. Curated by Pavel Pyś, it features 250 pieces by nearly 100 artists from six nations, divided into four thematic categories. Among the highlighted artists are Geta Brătescu and Sanja Iveković. The exhibition seeks to highlight Central and Eastern European art independently, despite facing catalog critiques. The Walker has also acquired seven pieces, including 'Points of Support' by Natalia LL.
