VWFNDR Launches MBL Android Camera App, Hardware Camera in Development

So, there's this new company called VWFNDR that was started in 2023 by designers Álvaro Nuevo and Mireia Gordi i Vila, and they’re based in Tokyo. They just launched a free camera app for Android called VWFNDR + MBL. What’s cool about it is that it focuses on real photography instead of relying on heavy tech. It can capture both unprocessed Bayer RAW DNG data and JPEGs, and you can adjust settings like ISO, shutter speed, focus, and exposure. It offers six different aspect ratios too. Plus, it supports Content Credentials for provenance, which makes it the fourth company to hit C2PA Level 2 standards. You can find it on the Google Play Store, and it’s compatible with several devices. They also mentioned that this app is just the first step toward a new compact camera they plan to release later this year.
