Vozes Agudas Prize Launches First Exhibition for Women Artists in São Paulo

In its first edition, the Vozes Agudas Prize, which celebrates women artists, attracted more than 800 entries. The selection process resulted in three winners and two honorable mentions. Their inaugural group exhibition will take place at Galeria Jaqueline Martins in São Paulo, opening on March 22 and continuing until April 1, with no admission fee. For those unable to attend in person, artworks will also be accessible online. Future exhibitions are planned for Brasília at Galeria Karla Osório and in Recife. The winners are Laryssa Machada, Massuelen Cristina, and Monica Coster, while Terroristas del Amor and Vulcânica PokaRopa received honorable mentions. The Vozes Agudas Collective, associated with Ateliê397, seeks to uplift marginalized women artists. Each winner was awarded R$1,000, with a second edition anticipated in 2021.
