Voxel: A New Coworking Space with an Artistic Soul Opens in Bologna

On February 2, 2018, during Bologna's Art Week, Voxel will open in the Bolognina district. This coworking and experimentation space was founded by Tommaso Arosio, Elisa Del Prete, Iader Giraldi, and Filippo Pagotto. Located at Via Corticella 56, the building was originally designed by architect Lorenzo Cremonini in the late 1970s–early 1980s as an artisan workshop. Voxel aims to integrate diverse creative fields—including knowledge access formats, contemporary art curation, education, VR, video, and communication—to foster shared project design. The name refers to the 3D image unit, symbolizing a move beyond two-dimensional thinking. For its opening, Voxel will host "2218 Esercizi di manutenzione dell’immaginario," a program featuring performances, installations, and conferences.
