Vox Marmoris festival merges electronic music with Carrara marble in eighth edition
The eighth installment of Vox Marmoris, an electronic music festival that showcases Carrara marble, was held on July 25-26, 2025, at a marble depot and quarry nestled in the Apuan Alps. Established by local DJs Giulio Corsi and Matteo Zarcone, it became an official festival in 2024. This year's event coincided with White Carrara, turning the city into a vibrant cultural center. Co-founder Zarcone highlighted the use of marble to enhance sound and visuals. Notable features included laser projections by physicist Alberto Novello and a significant collaboration with AlphaTheta (Pioneer DJ), which presented a holographic installation alongside a performance and discussion with Zarcone. Last year, the festival drew 5,000 participants, emphasizing research and experiential engagement.
