Volodymyr Gabuda and Oleksandr Suprun Present 'Pharmacy of the Heavens' in Dnipro
Artsvit Gallery in Dnipro opens 'Pharmacy of the Heavens', a collaborative exhibition by painter Volodymyr Gabuda and sound artist Oleksandr Suprun, running from May 6 to August 8, 2026. Curated by Oleksandra Shovkun, the project combines painting, poetry, and a three-channel spatial audio installation. It follows Gabuda's 2025 exhibition 'Mutations' at the Dnipro Art Museum, shifting focus from trauma as a protective reaction to conscious 'healing' actions within a reality where traumatic transformations are normalized. The audio installation, created by Suprun, features three simultaneous tracks that shift based on viewer movement, making the visitor an active participant. Gabuda's works draw on dreams, memories, and uncanny images to form a non-linear, dream-like narrative. The artists met during the DCCC residency 'Imaginary City' in 2024. Design by Alla Sorochan.
