Vogue and CFDA Unveil 130 Reimagined State Flags at Rockefeller Center for America's 250th
On Monday night, a collaboration between Vogue, the CFDA, America250, and Rockefeller Center showcased 'United Flags of Fashion,' featuring over 100 designers who reimagined flags from U.S. states and territories. The 130 flags were revealed at The Rink at Rockefeller Center, where notable designers such as Michael Kors, Vera Wang, Tommy Hilfiger, and Tory Burch posed for a group photo. This installation commemorates the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence. CFDA Chairman Thom Browne described the exhibit as 'pure American.' Anna Wintour mentioned that the project took more than a year and a half to finalize. The flags will be displayed until September 4, with performances including a duet of 'America the Beautiful' by Broadway stars Christiani Pitts and Sam Tutty.
