Viviane Sassen's 'This Body Made of Stardust' Opens at Collezione Maramotti in Reggio Emilia

Viviane Sassen's most extensive exhibition in Italy, titled 'This Body Made of Stardust,' will be showcased at Collezione Maramotti in Reggio Emilia from 27 April to 27 July 2025. This self-curated exhibition features over 50 photographs and a video, delving into themes of life, decay, memory, and desire. As part of the twentieth edition of the Fotografia Europea festival, Sassen's artistry reimagines bodies as surreal fragments, establishing intriguing associations. Some works draw inspiration from previous series such as Umbra and Lexicon, while others are newly conceived. The exhibition also interacts with sculptures by Evgeny Antufiev, Kaarina Kaikkonen, TARWUK, and Fabrizio Prevedello.
