Vivetta's Retro Elegance Evolves at Milan Fashion Week Spring/Summer 2024
During Milan Fashion Week, Vivetta presented its Spring/Summer 2024 collection, showing an evolution from its signature bows and pink hues to include polka dots, feathers, flowers, and a mix of 1950s, 1990s, and contemporary styles. The brand, founded in 2009 by Vivetta Ponti after winning the Who's Next competition, debuted on the runway in 2010. Ponti, born in Assisi in 1980, previously worked at Roberto Cavalli as an assistant fashion designer and later specialized in prints and embroidery as head designer for Daniele Alessandrini. In 2015, Giorgio Armani selected her to show at the Armani Teatro with the Autumn/Winter 2015-16 collection. She was also the first Italian designer chosen for the Swarovski Collective, which encourages creative use of crystals. The collection reflects a dialogue between past and present bon ton, retaining characteristic bows while embracing new elements.
