architecture-design · 2026-04-27

Vittorio Mazzucconi, who was born in Grosseto in 1928, trained under Carlo Bruno Negri and drew inspiration from the Florentine artistic environment. After gaining experience in Switzerland, France, England, Sweden, and the U.S. with TAC alongside Walter Gropius, he made his way back to Milan. In 1967, he released "La Città a immagine e somiglianza dell'Uomo." Among his notable projects was an office building for J. Walter Thompson located at 22 avenue Matignon in Paris, constructed between 1972 and 1976. Additional works included a village in Lioran (1977-1978) and the "Arca delle nevi" complex. He also suggested an innovative urban plan for Florence and the "Nuova Agorà" in Athens before shifting his focus to painting and establishing a foundation dedicated to spiritual well-being.
