Vittorio Bonapace: From Opera Scenographer to NFT Artist

artist · 2026-04-27

Vittorio Bonapace (born 1986 in Rieti, Italy) transitioned from a scenographer at Teatro dell'Opera di Roma and Senior Art Director at Cityscape Digital in London to a full-time NFT artist. His digital works blend classical art references with contemporary themes, featuring astronauts, crash test dummies, mannequins, and androids. Bonapace cites Rubens, Pannini, and Andy Warhol as influences. He was hacked in a phishing attack that compromised his SuperRare account and wallet. In March 2023, his work was exhibited at CAFA Art Museum in Beijing for 'Crypto Art: a New Possibility' in collaboration with Dynamic Art Museum. He was selected for Sotheby's Paris auction 'Natively Digital: Oddly Satisfying' (March 17–24, 2023) with his work 'Memento Mori', and had a physical event in Paris and a metaverse exhibition on RLTY during Blockchain Week. He joined AOTM Gallery, releasing a three-part series on Dante's Divine Comedy in April 2023. A solo exhibition at IHAM Gallery in Paris is planned for August 2023. Bonapace gives collectors a fine art print and paper certificate of authenticity with each NFT purchase.
