Vitra Campus Summer 2017: Design Exhibitions and Architecture
In Weil-am-Rhein, Germany, the Vitra Campus is currently featuring a summer exhibition program. The Schaudepot, which was designed by Herzog & de Meuron and inaugurated a year ago, showcases over 7,000 design items and 1,000 lighting pieces from the Fehlbaum collection. Visitors can explore the exhibition "Project Vitra – Design, Architecture, Communications (1950-2017)" at the Fire Station, designed by Zaha Hadid, until September 3, highlighting the company's evolution since Willi Fehlbaum's 1953 encounter with a Charles and Ray Eames chair. Upcoming exhibitions include "Together! Die Neue Architektur der Gemeinschaft" (June 3–September 10) and "Ettore Sottsass. Rebell und Poet" (July 14–September 24). Additionally, "MUDUN. Urban Cultures in Transit" will be available until August 20, focusing on ten cities in the MENA region.
