Visibile/Invisibile: Tecniche della Meraviglia at Casa degli Artisti, Milan

The exhibition "Visibile/Invisibile. Tecniche della Meraviglia" at Casa degli Artisti in Milan presents new works by nine artists, developed during a four-month residency curated by Francesca Alfano Miglietti. The show explores the interplay between visibility and invisibility, featuring pieces by Giuliana Cuneaz, Cesare Fullone, Antonio Marras, Dario Pruonto (Caos), Florentin Aisslinger, Lan Gao, Olmo Gasperini, Alessia Rosato, and Marco Paganini. Highlights include an interactive installation by Cuneaz titled "La belle au bois dormant," a video by Fullone called "DUEMILAVENTITRE" depicting a paper boat adrift in stormy seas, and trompe-l'oeil paintings by Lan Gao that blur the line between front and back of canvases. The residency began in September 2023, with tutors Cuneaz, Fullone, and Marras mentoring six younger artists selected by a committee. The exhibition runs at Casa degli Artisti, a venue known for residencies that shape exhibitions through collaborative processes. The curator describes the works as "creole, mixed, clandestine, and rebellious," aiming for a vision that embraces complexity and impurity.
