Vis à Vis Fuoriluogo 27: Artist Residency in Molise

The 13th edition of the Vis à Vis Fuoriluogo 27 artist residency project began on August 5, 2024, and will run until August 25, 2024, in the Molise region of Italy. Organized by Paolo Borrelli and Fausto Colavecchia of the cultural association Limiti Inchiusi, which has been active since 2012, the residency invites international artists to promote cultural, landscape, and social knowledge of the region. This year's participants are the duo Opiemme (Margherita Berardinelli and Davide Bonatti) and Ivano Troisi (born 1984 in Salerno), who will be based in Carpinone (Isernia province) and Lucito (Campobasso province), respectively. The program is curated by Tommaso Evangelista. In Lucito, Troisi will create a public artwork, adding to the town's existing collection that includes works by Antonio Pettinicchi and previous Vis à Vis projects. In Carpinone, Opiemme will develop a participatory public artwork engaging the local community. The residency also includes workshops, meetings, and a final restitution exhibition. Limiti Inchiusi, based in Limosano (Campobasso province), has been active since 1994, promoting contemporary art projects in dialogue with the Molise territory through residencies, exhibitions, public art installations, workshops, and research on the regional landscape.
