Virtual tours of New York street art: online platforms offer digital exploration

Art lovers can now discover the murals of New York City through Street Art Cities, which spans 637 cities across 79 countries, showcasing 1,183 pieces in NYC, including 16 significant historical works. Among the highlights are Shepard Fairey's 'We Own the Future' (2014) located at 159 Bowery Street and his mural of Debbie Harry near CBGB. Additional notable sites include Freeman Alley, home to a Banksy piece, and First Street Garden. Keith Haring's 'Once Upon a Time' (1989) is found at the LGBT Center. Google Arts and Culture features over 230 artworks, while the Street Museum of Art presents three online exhibitions. A virtual showcase also commemorates the lost 5Pointz, which was whitewashed in 2013.
