Virtual exhibition explores the philosophical 'squaring the circle' at Rocksophia 2024

From July 26 to 28, 2024, the Lido Cluana in Civitanova Marche hosts 'La quadratura del cerchio', a virtual and modular exhibition accessible only via VR headsets, presented as part of Rocksophia 2024, a cultural festival blending art, sport, and philosophy organized by the association Popsophia. The exhibition, curated by Mega (Popsophia's meta gallery) and conceived by Lucrezia Ercoli (Popsophia's creative director), is curated by Evio Hermas Ercoli and realized by designers and developers Alessandro Nardi, Leonardo Nardi, Mirko Verdecchia, and Riccardo Preterossi. It explores philosophical aspects of the ancient geometric problem of squaring the circle, featuring works such as the Möbius strip and the Penrose triangle. The immersive environment, shaped by sounds and images, offers six perceptual experiences in the Palazzina Sud of Lido di Cluana, open from 9 PM to 11:30 PM with mandatory booking, accompanied by a tutor and a sound carpet. The exhibition investigates whether such solid figures are mere products of geometry or an obsession with perfection for artists throughout history.
