Vipp Opens First US Guesthouse in the Catskills
Vipp, a Danish design company, has launched its inaugural guesthouse in Pond Eddy, New York, located in the Catskills. This 1,200-square-foot structure, crafted by the Los Angeles architecture firm Johnston Marklee, is positioned next to a private pond at a forest's edge. Inside, guests will find Vipp's iconic V3 kitchen and an anodized aluminum exterior, complemented by a spacious bathroom adorned in earthy red clay, an outdoor shower, and a minimalist Scandinavian aesthetic. This guesthouse is part of Vipp's collection of 15 accommodations, which began with a steel pod in Lake Immeln, Sweden, in 2014. Founded in 1939 by Holger Nielsen, Vipp is now overseen by his grandchildren, Kasper and Sofie Egelund. Reservations will open in spring 2026.
