Vinicio Capossela's 'Natale fuori orario' film to be released by Cineteca di Bologna

publication · 2026-04-26

Vinicio Capossela's film 'Natale fuori orario', presented at the Rome Film Festival in the Freestyle section, will be distributed by Cineteca di Bologna. The film draws from Capossela's over-twenty-year tradition of Christmas concerts at the Fuori Orario club in Taneto di Gattatico, Reggio Emilia. Footage from performances between 2007 and 2023, shot by Gianfranco Firriolo, is woven into a narrative set in Christmas 2047, following three characters: the Magician, the Giant, and the Singer. Capossela describes the film as a collective story of friendship, music, and participation amid a world that has lost celebration. The release precedes his new album 'Sciusten Feste N. 1965', out October 25 on Warner Music Italy, featuring fifteen tracks of new and reimagined holiday songs.
