Vincenzo Vela Video Debuts at Parma Music Film Festival

A video work titled 'Vincenzo Vela. Il sogno della materia' by director Adriano Kestenholz had its world premiere at the Parma Music Film Festival on September 18. The piece, a co-production between Aleph Film and RSI (Radiotelevisione svizzera) with support from the Museo Vincenzo Vela, will be installed at the Museo di Ligornetto in Switzerland starting January 17, 2021. The video reinterprets Vela's sculptures, including the portrait of Correggio, through a musical performance, juxtaposing plaster models from the artist's house-museum with bronze and marble works located across Italy, Switzerland, and France. Blending art documentary and musical documentation, it creates an oniric museum of light, shadow, proximity, and distance.
