Vincenzo Rusciano's 'Skyline' at Galleria Nicola Pedana in Caserta
Vincenzo Rusciano (born 1973, Naples) presents his first solo exhibition at Galleria Nicola Pedana in Caserta, titled 'Skyline'. The show features recent works that condense a decade of research, where three-dimensionality paradoxically emerges from two-dimensional drawing. The series, called 'Grafite', includes pieces such as a mosaic fragment, a box containing a face fragment, a can, a small house, a head, a decapitated bust trapped in a structure with four quadrants, and a geometric armor evoking vanitas. These works are conceived as drawings that extrude into the exhibition space, transforming it into a sketch or mental projection. On the walls near the sculptures, gray-blue wall drawings rise like geometric shadows, suggesting silhouettes, skyline contours, or distant memory landscapes. The exhibition is reviewed by Antonello Tolve.
