Vincenzo Agnetti Centenary Exhibition at Fondazione Pino Pascali

On the centenary of Vincenzo Agnetti's birth (Milan, 1926–1981), the Fondazione Pino Pascali in Polignano a Mare, Italy, presents a major exhibition of his work. Curated by Gaspare Luigi Marcone with the Archivio Vincenzo Agnetti, the show focuses on works from the late 1960s to the early 1970s, particularly from 1973, when Agnetti won the III edition of the Premio Pino Pascali at the Pinacoteca Provinciale di Bari. The exhibition, titled "Confluenze," reconstructs the first cycle of the prize (1969–1978) and features sixteen emblematic works, including the felt pieces "Chi entra esce" and "Chi esce entra" (1970/71), the large installation "Progetto per un Amleto politico" (1973), the photographic series "Autotelefonata (yes)" (1972), and the "14 proposizioni" (1972) telegrams. Agnetti, a theorist of the "dimenticare a memoria" (forgetting by heart), explored the relationship between language, memory, and power. The exhibition runs until September 27, 2026, at the Fondazione Pascali, Via Parco del Lauro, 119, Polignano a Mare.
