Vincent Leroy's 'Point Cloud' Transforms Beijing Plaza with Kinetic Discs
French artist Vincent Leroy has unveiled 'Point Cloud,' a monumental kinetic installation at Taikoo Li Sanlitun in Beijing, as part of the 2026 Fashion Festival. The work consists of hundreds of translucent discs in electric blue, violet, pink, and red, suspended above the plaza. Each disc rotates independently in response to wind, creating ever-changing compositions of color and light. Sunlight filters through the discs, casting chromatic shadows on the ground. The installation explores color as a living atmospheric phenomenon, shifting between density and transparency. It will be on view from May to October 2026. The project was curated and produced by VCollective and Uniq Energy, with photography and videography by Taikoo Li Sanlitun Beijing.
