Viltrox Unveils APO 35mm and 55mm f/1.8 Evo Lenses at NAB Show 2026
At the NAB Show 2026 in Las Vegas, Viltrox introduced two new apochromatic prime lenses: the AF 35mm f/1.8 Evo and the AF 55mm f/1.8 Evo. Designed with APO optical configurations, these lenses aim to reduce chromatic aberration and improve color fidelity, catering to hybrid creators in both photography and videography. The 35mm lens, weighing 330 grams, features a 63° field of view and a minimum focus distance of 0.3 meters, making it ideal for street photography and environmental portraits. In contrast, the 55mm lens, at 365 grams, offers a 43° field of view and a close-focus capability of 0.4 meters, perfect for portraits and still life. Both lenses include extra-low dispersion elements and STM autofocus motors, housed in all-metal, weather-sealed bodies. The pricing is set at $395 for the 35mm and $370 for the 55mm, completing a trio alongside Viltrox's existing 85mm Evo prime. This launch enhances Viltrox's ecosystem, which includes cinema tools like the EPIC series and Raze lenses for the DJI Ronin 4D, promoting a seamless Photo to Cinema workflow. Availability will cater to Sony FE and Nikon Z mount systems, with regional variations anticipated after NAB Show 2026.
