Villeroy & Boch and Ideal Standard Present Design Continuum at Fuorisalone 2026
At Milan Design Week, Villeroy & Boch and Ideal Standard staged Design Continuum at their showroom in Foro Buonaparte 70 from April 21 to 26, 2026. The exhibition traces nearly three centuries of ceramic manufacturing and design collaboration, presenting five product narratives that show innovation as cumulative rather than disruptive. Antao 3D by KASCHKASCH Studio uses 100% internally recycled ceramic and additive manufacturing, making the layer-by-layer process visible. Atelier Collections by Palomba Serafini Associati (PS+A) for Ideal Standard reinterprets historic designs by Paolo Tilche and Gio Ponti. Artis Sense by Christian Haas with a color concept by Gesa Hansen introduces ribbed textures for sensory modulation. Vea fittings by Christian Haas feature ViPush technology, reducing the interface to press, turn, release. Antao Earth by KASCHKASCH Studio uses reactive glaze technology to produce controlled variability. The exhibition argues that technology is an intrinsic component shaping design possibilities from within, operating alongside heritage and material knowledge.
