Villa Normanni: A Private Vacation Retreat in Puglia Blends Local Architecture with Modern Comfort

Villa Normanni is a private vacation villa complex in Puglia, Italy, conceived as an investment by a Czech couple. The project was funded by selling two properties in Prague. The main villa is newly built, while a smaller annex was adapted from an existing agricultural structure. The architecture draws on local elements: white plastered facades, Lecce stone floors, tuff stone walls, cane sunshades, and a rooftop terrace. Interiors use natural materials like wood, linen, rattan, and stone. The main villa has three en-suite bedrooms, a central living area, and separate laundry and storage. The annex functions as a private apartment. Large folding windows open onto the pool and olive grove. Most furniture was brought from the Czech Republic, with some custom pieces. Technical features include air conditioning, heating, solar panels, a 200-meter well, rainwater cistern, and an electric vehicle charging station. The project emphasizes self-sufficiency and year-round usability.
