Villa Molin launches sign language video guide for deaf visitors

cultural-heritage · 2026-04-27

Villa Molin, a 1597 villa designed by Vincenzo Scamozzi in Padua, has become the first villa in the Veneto region and one of the few Italian museums to offer a video guide in Italian Sign Language (LIS). The guide, produced in collaboration with ISISS Magarotto di Padova, a secondary school for deaf and hearing students, allows deaf visitors to explore the villa independently. The project, part of a digital renewal program curated by artistic director Marco Michele Rossi, includes a video accessible via QR code on-site or on YouTube, covering the villa's history, its architect, and interior decorations. The villa is open by appointment.
