Villa Massimo Summer Party Highlights Artists' Studios in Rome
Villa Massimo, the German Academy in Rome, has reversed its expansion trend by intentionally reducing guest numbers to foster more concentrated encounters and focused final presentations. Despite this, the institution hosted an exclusive Summer Party on its grounds, offering visitors access to the studios of fellows including visual artists Nezaket Ekici, Göran Gnaudschun, Adnan Softić, and Levent Kunt, architecture fellow Anna Kubelík, music composers Torsten Herrmann and Lisa Streich, and literature fellows Heike Geißler, Nina Jäckle, and Hartmut Lange. Founded by patron Eduard Arnhold in the early 1900s, the academy organizes over 30 events annually, with the final fellows' presentation scheduled for November. The party showcased the participants' works in a relaxed atmosphere.
