Villa Manin exhibition explores the concept of boundaries with 130 works

Curated by Marco Goldin, the exhibition 'Confini' at Villa Manin in Passariano, Codroipo, near Udine, Italy, runs from October 2025. It features 130 works from 42 museums, exploring the concept of boundaries as inspired by Lucretius's 'De rerum natura'. The show includes artists such as Paul Gauguin, Edward Hopper, Vincent van Gogh, Winslow Homer, Andrew Wyeth, Alberto Giacometti, Francis Bacon, and Amedeo Modigliani. Highlights include Homer's 'The West Wind' (1891), exhibited for the first time in Europe, and Wyeth's 'April Wind' (1952). Van Gogh's 1887 self-portrait from the Van Gogh Museum in Amsterdam is also featured. The exhibition is spread across 16 rooms and includes Italian artists Giuseppe Zigaina and Piero Guccione.
