Villa Borghese Transformed into Open-Air Contemporary Art Museum for Back to Nature

exhibition · 2026-04-27

The Villa Borghese in Rome transforms into an open-air museum with the second edition of Back to Nature, organized by art historian and critic Costantino D'Orazio, running until July 25, 2021. This exhibition examines the connection between humanity and nature, reimagining how art is experienced during the pandemic. Various installations by artists such as Loris Cecchini, Leandro Erlich, Giuseppe Gallo, and others are displayed throughout Parco dei Daini and Piazza di Siena. Notable works include Cecchini's Arborexence, which incorporates 350 steel pieces into a tree, and Erlich's Window & Ladder, which explores boundaries. Additionally, the Museo Carlo Bilotti presents Arte e Natura, showcasing 20th-century art until September 19.
