Vila 31 x Art Explora opens 2027 residency applications

An open call for the 2027 residency programme in Tirana, Albania, has been announced by Vila 31 x Art Explora. This residency, situated in the former home of Enver Hoxha, serves as a venue for artistic exploration, research, and dialogue. The programme, which began in 2025, welcomed 29 artists from 15 different countries and featured over 100 public events, including exhibitions, workshops, screenings, performances, and discussions, drawing in over 30,000 attendees. It encourages transdisciplinary and transgenerational initiatives, inviting artists, curators, researchers, and writers to create projects that critically engage with the cultural, social, and political landscapes of the Balkans and beyond.
