Viktor Neumann appointed director of Bonner Kunstverein
Viktor Neumann is set to become the new director of Bonner Kunstverein, succeeding Fatima Hellberg, who is moving to lead MUMOK in Vienna. Neumann has been the curator at Berlin's Between Bridges since 2022, where he has showcased solo exhibitions for artists like Karol Radziszewski and organized retrospectives for Ioana Nemeș and Juan Pablo Echeverri. He played a role in co-curating the 5th Kyiv Biennial (2024), the Romanian Pavilion at the 59th Venice Biennale (2022), and the 2019 Bergen Assembly. Anke Schierholz, the board chair, emphasized that Neumann’s interest in body politics and emancipatory traditions will inspire a communal approach to public space at Bonner Kunstverein. His official start date is 1 March 2025.
