Vik Muniz's largest retrospective opens at CCBB Rio

"Vik Muniz – With the Naked Eye," the most extensive retrospective of the Brazilian artist, has launched at the Centro Cultural Banco do Brasil in Rio de Janeiro. This exhibition showcases over 220 pieces from 43 different series, encompassing sculptures, photographs, objects, and large installations, reflecting more than thirty years of Muniz's artistic journey. Curated by Daniel Rangel, the display is open from May 20 to September 7, 2026, and occupies both the ground and first floors. This version in Rio is the largest yet, introducing approximately 20 new works, including five that are newly created. Previous exhibitions in Recife and Salvador drew in excess of 150,000 attendees.
